        1. @colfax I'd read that. I was wondering why Ponydude didn't agree.

    2. @ponydude2143 What factors are you basing the idea that it could be profitable on its own on?

    3. @ponydude2143 Ah, but don't forget: Hasbro owns the hub, and profits continually from ads shown there. If I can watch ponies on DVD without seeing any ads, hasbro isn't making any more money after the initial sale of the DVD.

    5. @ponydude2143 Hasbro has been in business a long grapes time. If there's one thing they know, it's how to crush a property and wring pure money from the remains.

    6. @ponydude2143 Hasbro is one of the biggest toy manufacturers in the world and has been in business since 1923. They INVENTED the term "Action Figure". I think you can accuse them of many things, but stupidity isn't one of them.

    7. @ponydude2143 Hasbro's entertainment division and toy division are more or less run by two separate sets of people and you more or less could consider them separate companies.

    8. @ponydude2143 They shifted $4billion's worth of toys in 2010 and turned a $398million dollar profit. Their stock price has been relatively consistent for the best part of a decade.

      1. @ceruleanspark I once worked for a company that made $40 Billion gross and only netted $1 Billion after their terrible money handling. xD #

    9. @ponydude2143 They're actually supposed to be a solid investment. They're predicting growth in 2012.
