  1. This just in: It sucks when you're a furry with no artistic ability whatsoever.

    1. @blueblaze There is tons of furries without any artistic ability whatsoever.

    2. @blueblaze There's nothing wrong with just enjoying something.

      1. @retl @miloth This is me I'm talking about, I'm a new furry, yet I have no visual artistic ability to speak of. So as much as I would like to draw the art I want to, it's just not going to happen. and at the moment I have no money to commission works from artists.

        1. @blueblaze Try doing literature or something. If you like to draw, then go for it and keep practicing till you get better.

          1. @miloth I think I'll have to try at it, I would just really like to SEE my fursona in front of me instead of just in my head, then I'll do something with it. I guess I'll have to save up some money in order to commission an artist to do it for me.

            1. @blueblaze However if you become quite know through the community, or even become friends with some of the artists you have in mind, you might just get commissions for free depending how lenient they are.

              1. @miloth I have one artist in mind at the moment, her commissions are very expensive (for me anyway) but very, VERY, well done. Hopefully I'll be able to convince my dad to let me actually get some art, although I'm sure he'll be like "BLAH BLAH BLAH TOO MUCH MONEY BLAH BLAH BLAH NOT WORTH IT BLAH BLAH FURRY BLAH."

                1. @blueblaze Same with my parents. The only thing they want to invest money in is if it will actually motivate me in my academic progress. Or if it goes to it directly, and sometimes a incentive. Hopefully you'll be able to get your commission one way or another.

                  1. @miloth Yeah, I'm hoping so too, because the person I have in mind is a REALLY great artist. But so far, just like my bronyism, only me and people on the internet know that I'm a furry, so if my parents find out they'll be like: "Isn't that the thing were people want to have sex with animals?" And I'll just facepalm and try to move on through the constant insults of my brother.

                    1. @blueblaze Not necessarily, but that's just the stereotype of what people think in mind when it comes to the term "furry". Being a Furry is just being a fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics. Not having anything to do with sex. Ignore your brother, if he expresses any keen interest in a particular hobby or fandom, you should tease him the same way he teases you. Of course that is just how I would go about it.

                      1. @miloth Thanks, I'm really hoping I one day get the actual courage to open up to people about my more unusual interests (Well, unusual to the people I know), until then I guess I'll just have to live with this secrecy.

                        1. @blueblaze Well it might not help bottling it up and keeping it in secret. Who knows? They might just be accepting of it.

                          1. @miloth I wish I could believe that, by the way the act they make fun of me for every minor thing I do (My brother makes fun of me for liking Homestuck, even though he has no clue what it is). I'm kinda just waiting until they find out about one of my fandoms that I've been keeping a secret and then I'd let it all out. This isn't really fun for me but I've had no clue how to bring it up or how to actually say it.

                              1. @miloth Thanks, hopefully I can get it out sooner rather then later.

                                1. @blueblaze No problem! Yeah.

                                  1. @miloth It's just I want to go to these cons, I want to buy merchandise, I want to be open with people about how I'm a furry and a brony and maybe find people IRL that have the same interests. I can just never find the right way to do it. But thanks for all the encouragement, maybe one day in the future I'll get enough self-confidence to actually be open about my interests in fandoms. Anyway, this has been a fun conversation, hopefully we can have more like it in the future.

                                    1. @blueblaze Showing confidence myself is quite hard to do. However I would also like to do what you said, but not the furry part since I'm not really into that fandom as a whole. Encouraging people is what I'm best at. I'm frustrated with myself that I can't draw, I can't write as well as some do, and I feel useless to be in this fandom for not contributing to it. However I think i'm more of a social person, to encourage others, since media related activities is not something I'm good at. Yeah, hopefully we will be able to converse in interesting related topics and such. *honk*
