@critialcloudkicker My story? Okay, but in order for the story to work, you must realise that at fifteen, I was not as tolerant as any of you guys are. I was a bible-thumping homophobic conservative. For some reason, my family still allowed me to interact with the world at large, so when someone at school invited me to this anti-drug youth camp, I went. I then met lots of people with opinions different from me, including Vegans and (#thehorror) gays. So...it took me two or three years to really work through what I'd experienced and find a way to fit those experiences with my religion. Hint: I didn't. I'm an extremist at heart, so I needed some sort of abstract principle to guide. The way I saw it, the only abstract that I could be totally sure of was the #Ahimsa principle - i.e. try to make as little negative impact on the world as possible. And that's how I became a vegetarian.

@zach Yeah, that's what I used to say at first. I've mellowed a lot since then.

@lilytheamazingfaintingpony I have no opinions... I just hate how religion gets people to believe stuff that's just stories from a book and it makes people fight... I say science is my church... My brother said this and it's horrible but interesting: science flies you to the moon, religion flies you into buildings....mi really thought about not writing that. But anyway being a nerd, I'll stick to my science and nerd ways

@lilytheamazingfaintingpony ah, ohkay, cool :) my story for still considdering and probably jumping at the chance to become a vegetarian pretty much has to do with me not wanting to be a bother to the cook who creates hot meals for 15 people. And that I still have not yet tried a Quorn cheese grillend sandwich... But when I cook for myself I steer into the vegetarian section of meals... also Meat is a very VERY cheap source of proteins and whatnot. So sadly before I become a vegetarian there are going to have to be some changes around the availibility/cost of foodstuffs down this area... sadly.
