  1. !calgary Okay, so my main hard drive with all my programs and a lot of my other stuff on it just up and died with absolutely zero warning, so that's wonderful.

    1. @puzzlemint !calgary Fortunately, nothing substantially important was lost. More or less everything that was on there can be replaced. I just don't have any hard drive space in which to put the replacements.

      1. @puzzlemint By the way, I have plans on NYE, so I'll have to decline your invitation.

      2. @puzzlemint Can't help you there, but I might be able to suggest some recovery things if you get space. I've seen quite a number of those things die.

        1. @eaglehooves Sadly, I've had enough hard drives die on me that I already know pretty much every recovery trick in the book. This one's pretty well fried. It's just a huge pain in the papayas because it had all my programs, all my games (including the two-dozen-or-so new ones I'd just finished downloading from the Steam holiday sale), and all of my recent downloads that I hadn't had a chance to sort yet.

          1. @puzzlemint That sucks. At least you know what you're doing, though. I've tried to help some fairly clueless people through it, and that taxes my sanity.

      3. @puzzlemint Sucks all the same though. If you need a hand getting certain things replaced I may be able to help some.
