I just thought of something. With such a vast difference in elevation giving me trouble, why didn't Applejack & Pinkie Pie have the same trouble when they visited Cloudsdale? Them being earth ponies with their hooves on the ground, such an extreme rise in elevation would have had them gasping for air - Especially Pinkie Pie. But what was Pinkie Pie doing? Cartwheeling with the greatest of ease - Meanwhile, I can't ascend a few stairs without getting winded. There's one detail the animators missed *kidding of course* :P

@cypresswolf Well cloudsdale may have it's own weather balancing facilities. Actually that's MORE THAN LIKELY considering they have a weather factory...

@cypresswolf It seems likely that the cloud walking and wing-generating spells would probably include some kind of air-pressure counter component too.

@ceruleanspark That's what made them complex spells, rather than mid level ones. Anyone can give a pony wings, but granting proper proprioception, and enabling them not to asphixiate is another matter altogether!

@purplephish20 Cloud-Walking and Pressure Normalisation Spell Test Report 8257A. Positive outcomes: Subject gained cloud walking abilities, but complained of a consistant mild chest pain. Negative Outcomes: Test Subjects lungs later exploded.

@purplephish20 That's due to the many outer influences we've been introduced to through social medias, televistion, video games, movies, etc. all our lives. Some are able to ingore, resist, or block out those influences, some are not.
