          1. @redenchilada @cabal 's no point repeating something that's already on the front page of Popular.

              1. @cabal I usually glance over it from time to time. Either way, repeating something like that usually isn't going to do much good around here.

    2. @abigpony The proper term is "Darknet" or "Deep Web" TOR has helped many people browse the 'net anonymously, as a plus, you also help the US protect its data while in transit, thanks US Navy!

    3. @abigpony eww. TOR was not made for that purpose. Here, check out these people who use it for legitimate purposes: https://www.torproject.org/about/torusers.html.en

    4. @abigpony Well, any tool can be dangerous. Take the crowbar for instance. Not only is it useful for opening crates, its useful for opening someone's head. And the computer: Advanced calculator? Or evil missile launching device?

    5. @abigpony Why are you using a computer then? It's a tool for evil.

    6. @ponydude2143 You do not have to use your computer. You use Amazon's cloud servers. Read the print: "To help new customers get started in the cloud, Amazon has introduced a free usage tier. The Tor Cloud images are all micro instances, and new customers can run a micro instance for free for a whole year. The AWS free usage tier also includes 15 GB of bandwidth out per month." The TOR software is designed to limit it to those limits.

    7. @abigpony Well, just remember. Just because somebody uses a tool does not mean that they use it in a matter inconstant with law. Personally I use it to test equipment when I need an outside source.

    8. @abigpony Well, don't fear. There are some good people out there that try to stop that sort of thing. http://arstechnica.com/business/news/2011/10/anonymous-takes-down-darknet-child-porn-site-on-tor-network.ars
