Ok, trying to draw with my tablet is just getting me frustrated, so I'm giving up for now. Hopefully I'll get better eventually.

@ecmc1093 @aeniug2 So how easy exactly is it to colour in pencil sketches with software? Is there some sort of thing that "captures" the out line of a picture so it can be easily filled in? I have a scanner, I just want to know how easy it is to do the rest, I've never done any computerised drawing

@purplephish20 I would go get yourself Inkscape. Its pretty east to learn the basics. Also get GIMP, which is pretty good. look up some tutorials for em both

@purplephish20 If your line art is clean enough and dark enough, you could just load it into Photoshop and set the transparency type to "Multiply". This would make all white areas transparent, allowing you to paint on layers underneath. A lot of people re-trace their line art with the pen tool, though..

@forestrain heh, same here. I used to have access to a school laptop with full adobe package, and final cut... and corel... but eventually I moved to a different school... and now I have to settle for free products

@aeniug2 I'm so glad you said that! So I know it's not just me... it's just that I draw alright with physical pencil and paper, and I was getting really annoyed that I was nowhere near as good with the tablet >.<

@ecmc1093 its weird to draw on a tablet at first because its not always a 1:1 ratio with the screen... you get used to it.
