@abigpony I just want him to get a feel for the show period, be it Season 1 or Season 2.
-
In terms of episodes to show my cousin, alI think I've narrowed it down to Sonic Rainboom, Lesson Zero and Luna Eclipsed, those last two especially. !convert

@leonkfox Great line up :3
-
@abigpony Why should the season matter? It's all FiM
-
@abigpony That's cause the 2nd season was able to get rid of the e/i tag.
-
@abigpony Yes, but it's still FiM. I applaud them for trying new things, instead of stagnating on the same old thing for too long
-
@abigpony http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E/I It pretty much made them make things a bit more educational and limited some of the stuff they were allowed to do. That being said, they bent the limits pretty far in the first season considering. The fact that lessons aren't always done now (hearth's warming eve) along with a few other things that I don't remember right now, it's why the second season may seem a bit less confined since their not as restricted in what they can do.
-
@abigpony Yeah, but you're a cynic. We're not really on the same wavelength =P
-
@abigpony Dunno about the forced part, but that's the point. The first season was supposed to be more educational.
-
@abigpony You're always welcome to go watch something else. Wasn't there an old saying about saying nothing if you had nothing nice to say?
-
@fallinwinter Unlike these downers, I left the cynic in me behind when I realized I was watching a show about Pastel Ponies made for young girls, and enjoying it XD
-
@tenmihara The problem with that saying is that it kind of asks people to hold their opinions which isn't always a good thing. If you needed critique on something wouldn't you want them to tell you "Well your story seemed a bit forced, but maybe if you did this..."?
-
@fallinwinter Yes, if I was looking to improve on my own work (which I always am of course), but this is something created by someone else, so I stick to my own opinions and don't feel the need to have them validated by others
-
@tenmihara I'd like to think I'm a cynic, but am smart enough to realize that being unable to think positively sometimes makes things a whole lot harder on yourself, especially when it's easier to just suck it up, forget about it, and move on.
-
@fallinwinter I can be cynical when it's called for, but not to the extremes that some people go. For example, I felt that Mare-do-Well was the weakest episode of the new season so far, but I never thought of it as bad
