@abigpony I don't want to get into the merits of the argument or the authors issues with paypal specifically, but the argument persuaded the other users of this site, which is where the rift between you and the people who were offended by you lies. FWIW, I escalated the posts that got you banned to an administrator for their verdict, rather than getting involved myself at the time, as I considered myself too emotionally involved to make a good decision.

@abigpony Cabal has never raised concerns directly with me over the content of my posts. He wrote a general thing about innuendo that I disagreed with, following a particularly intense spate of it from other users. I founded ECH as somewhere for those people to post that (harmless, but unpleasant if you don't like it) stuff. Also, because I was able to get a years worth of hosting at a 97% discount.

@abigpony My point was that you were attributing a great deal more malice to my actions than actually exists. I thought I was providing a service, so I and the mods could go "Hey, take it to ECH" when people crossed the line.

@abigpony Yes, as such, it worked flawlessly. I don't see the issue here. It gets the content you don't like (aside from me of course) off of the site you do like.

@abigpony Yeah, you're not the only one. I would be interested to understand why more deeply though. All I ever get from you people is "I don't like Cerulean, Gherkin, Pinhooves, Redenchilada and Thatonepony" (am I right?). Is this JUST because you got banned for being a jerk?

@abigpony Grey is very mad. I'm pretty sure I made his list because I told the admins to silence him after he "left 4eva 4 real guys" because, after all, he wouldn't need his account anymore. Pinhooves dislikes you because you hate everything all the time, so yeah, that's not going away anytime soon. Aside from the innuendo, which has been curtailed by ECH's presence and a lack of conversational partners who find it amusing, I can't see that I'm doing anything that differently to people you don't hate, but I'm not here to be universally adoredd

@abigpony Because this is the 2nd or third time he's "left" and it's starting to seem like an attention seeking ploy, as is so popular in the furry community. By silencing him, he's forced to admit he never really meant to leave. As was evidenced by him changing his profile from "quitting RDN forever" to "going into hibernation until the site improves". He left the "Screw you guys" in there though, which I rather like.

@abigpony If we want one, we need to actually comission someone proper. It's such a large, complex and above all LONG project, if we ever want to see one complete, we're gonna need to put up some financial incentive.
