            1. @hugs At most the update should happen every 10 seconds, which is quick enough for the conversation to seem real-time. lol.

                1. @colfax 15? I can't wait 15 seconds! That is way too long!

                  1. @hugs @minti Besides, if too many use too short a delay it's more of a load on the server, which raises the hosting fees, which tinker then wouldn't be able to afford, which means RDN gets shut down...

                    1. @colfax Yeah that's what I'm trying to say, plus it puts a heavy load on the server.

                2. @colfax 15 is nice for rdnrefresh, mainly because it fetches the entire page which causes massive delay for some reason.

              4. @minti I set mine to 5 once. When the timeline was moving a mile a minute. I usually have it on 20, though.

                1. @redenchilada ... You saying that makes me want to finish implementing the options bit for !mintrefresh. It defaults to 10 seconds at the moment.. Blaaah xD

                  1. @minti That'd be nice, actually. Refreshes really should be limited to at least 15 seconds apart, too. You know, cut down on server load and all that jazz.

                    1. @redenchilada xD Mine uses the API though, which has a lot less of an impact on the server, meaning the refresh rate can be lower (thus why it's 10 atm).
