@purplephish20 Not horrifying in fact. But, if one is accepted as right, so should be the other one, for both are things "created" and popularized by men.

@nerthos no... it's f***** up... I can't even see an argument to the contrary

@purplephish20 You should consider the fact that the whole gay thing only started to be "right" about half a century ago in the eyes of the society. Religion was a pillar of it for as long as civilization exists in the human species.

@nerthos religion, which has never served any useful perpose whatsoever
Monday, 13-Feb-12 21:50:12 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 It served many. It can be seen today as something without purpose, but it served to unite warring nations, rally men, and many things. You shoul consider the fact that most of the charity is managed by religious groups.

@nerthos Give me some examples when it "united" warring nations, as opposed to CAUSING the wars in the first place
Monday, 13-Feb-12 21:54:12 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 Are we seriously discussing this? Well, let's put an example. Spain. It was composed of many kingdoms held together by religion. Cataluña, Aragón, etc, if not for religion they would never have been a unit but a lot of warring states.

@nerthos ever heard of something called the "crusades"? 'happened not too far from there
Monday, 13-Feb-12 21:57:00 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 Yeah, heard of them. It's funny how things always are seen from one side. Lots of problems were caused by some popes, but others helped peace. For example, pope John Paul 2.
Monday, 13-Feb-12 21:58:57 UTC from web-
@nerthos john paul 2 was a bananas as far as I heard....
Monday, 13-Feb-12 22:00:48 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 No, he wasn't. He was an example of "holy man". He didn't simply feign being good, he actually was. The actual pope is an idiot who's ruining all the work done by the last one, but that doesn't mean John Paul 2 was bad in the least.

@purplephish20 A little unnecessary, don't you think? It's fine to not share their faith, but don't bash religions for the sake of bashing them. You're free to argue your case, but deteriorating to "I heard that guy was a kiwi" isn't really a good argument, especially based solely on rumor.
Monday, 13-Feb-12 22:03:49 UTC from web-
@triscy which is exactly why i said "I heard", I'm open the persuasion, i was stating what I had heard from others
Monday, 13-Feb-12 22:05:00 UTC from web -
@triscy @purplephish20 *I'm open TO pursuasion
Monday, 13-Feb-12 22:05:56 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 Alrighty then. Just keep it good natured, 's all I'm asking.

@purplephish20 @purplephish20 To end this whole issue, I'll say that I'm not oppossed to homosexuality, but to the guys who go saying "herp derp being gay is good, anyone is free to think and do what they like" but think of anyone who differs as monsters without soul. As any sexual current that doesn't help reproduction, I regard it as a fetish, and fetishes are good until they start hurting people outside themselves.
Monday, 13-Feb-12 22:13:07 UTC from web-
@nerthos its not a fetish, bondage is a fetish, feet and toes... is a fetish, balloons... are a fetish. Homosexuality is NOT a fetish.... Not going to add any opinions or stances to this... It's just a simple fact, if anything its a "condition" but not a fetish
Monday, 13-Feb-12 22:21:08 UTC from web -
@nerthos @purplephish20 Not in a this-is-bad-stop-now kind of way, but in a tired-of-seeing-public-filled-with-this way, can we please stop the convo? It's just getting annoying.
Monday, 13-Feb-12 22:22:16 UTC from web-
@triscy sure thing, i think its done anyway
Monday, 13-Feb-12 22:23:04 UTC from web -
