@triscy that's a pretty swanky wallpaper
-
@triscy thats pretty epic
-
@trister Decided to grab it since I'm currently trying to find new music and I felt Vinyl was fitting,
-
@triscy that's cool. My current wallpaper is http://www.terrariaonline.com/attachments/16221-artist-megasweet-rainbow_dash-wallpaper-png.3756/ I might change it to another pony at some point though, keep the same style though
-
@trister Minimalistic is always fun; gives the desktop that nice clean look, unless it's cluttered to hell.
-
@triscy i'm on a mac so my desktop is squeaky clean... I do love the minimalistic look, I used to have pretty complicated wallpapers, they have gotten less and less busy over time though. Hopefully I'm at my limit and don't continue on into the realms of a single colour wallpaper
-
@triscy I'm a HUGE fan of minimalism. My programming reflects that. xD
-
@trister I've never touched a mac, so I can't honestly say I hate them, but I don't like the idea of not being able to play my video games. At least Linux has wine and other such ordeals to play windows-based games...
-
@trister Though I assume Mac has something too.
-
@minti What do you program in?
-
@triscy I have a desktop pc for games, but it's getting old now so everyone in the house has a laptop of some kind. I'm not all that much of a pc gamer anyway
-
@triscy C#, C++, C, VB6, PHP and JavaScript are my mane languages.
-
@minti i was thinking about JavaScript.... it sounded interesting...
-
@getacutiemark JavaScript is amazing. It's like C without being restricted to variable types.
-
@minti You think you could do coding for a 2d side-scrolling beat-em-up? Sort of like a River City Ransom deal with vertical movement similar to Ninja Gaiden? XD I sort of have a game project in mind and I'm trying to get a small team together.
-
@trister I have over 160 games on Steam... I'm a primarily PC gamer. My PS3 is neglected in comparison.
-
@triscy i don't use my x-box much either, most of my pc games are either old or TF2, I've actually been using my wii a bit more than usual recently
-
@triscy I know about your idea, you showed me the document you were working on. xD
-
@triscy As for actually coding for it, hmm. My knowledge is more attuned to low-level stuff at the moment. I've dabbled in DirectX but I'm sure there's someone else out there who could do better in a smaller amount of time. xD
-
@minti XD I thought as much. But yea, you interested in possibly working on it?
-
@minti It's probably gonna be a sprite/pixel art focused game; not sure if it'd go direct x level. Open GL is better, anyway.
-
@triscy i hear a lot of ppl saying that
-
@triscy True that, OpenGL is better. Never touched it personally though. xD
-
@getacutiemark Direct X is Microsoft-pushed stuff. It works, but it isn't as good as it could be.
-
@minti I've never directed a video game, either. XD I'm not expecting the game to progress quickly, and it'd be a free project. It's a learning experience, and at the moment it isn't even set to push forward period.
-
@triscy Haha well, if you can't find anyone else hit me up again. :P Just don't expect amazing out of me, cause it'll be a learning experience for me as well. :P
