  1. Ever since I became a brony I realised just how much people like to attach stereotypes that just aren't true. I mean, as a horror fan most people think that I was dropped on my head as a baby, or that I'm secretly a psychopath who takes sick pleasure from watching people getting butchered, which just isn't true. And as a brony, those same people think I'm gay/perverted etc. What is it with people always trying to assume the worst about others? What other fanbases/ways of life have you guys been judged about?

    4. @quicksilver hmm.. I always felt a little awkward as a fan of the Powerpuff Girls. More of the fans were girls and women in that fan base before it dwindled, so you know.. I think I got thought of as creepy. Then again that could just be my impression, not how others actually saw me. On the other hand, most of the die hard fans that stuck around as long as I did were male, so that became a non-issue later on. In real life i never let on that I liked PPG until after high school, and even then not often.

    5. @quicksilver as for why others are quick to assume the worst in others.. that's simply a reflection on themselves. Not everypony is quick to judge, but I admit it is common. They do it because they're in a cycle of blaming others in order to rationalize their own past and present mistakes. If you really want to know more about it I recommend the short book called The Anatomy of Peace.. excellently written..

        1. @quicksilver *nods* :) Blaming others isn't all we do. Even when we blame ourselves directly it's often as a way to justify our mistakes to ourselves rather than make them better. The first leads to anger, and this latter leads to depression. They're never mutually exclusive, but usually one way of thinking tends to be dominant in any given pony. I'm done rambling now...
