@ponydude It's not unique to open source, it's just more visible because it's... open source. For example, this little gem was found in the Quake III source code when it was released http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_inverse_square_root (should this be tagged #NSFW for linking to an article that includes the F-word?)

@ponydude Programmer culture, especially hacker culture, generally doesn't take too kindly to censorship. I assume it's just something everyone else has resolved to get used to since they don't wanna rock the boat.
