  1. As much as I love StatusNet for what it represents, there are still several things that Twitter handles a lot better.

    1. @toksyuryel Reply threading being one of them.

      1. @cavatina @toksyuryel Note that Statusnet 1.01 handles it properly and everyone immediately turns it off.

        1. @ceruleanspark For what it's worth, I left it on over at ECH because I do happen to like it. Unfortunately it fails to work well with remote subscriptions (which also don't even give me the in context links, for double annoyance).

          1. @toksyuryel I set it to old school but left inline reply threading on. To my mind that's the least confusing view.

      2. @cavatina I would like to see a mix of both. For getting an overview of the conversation, StatusNet's reply threading is wonderful, but when you want to actually see what a specific post is responding to in a huge conversation with multiple parties Twitter's style works much better. Some of this is just caused by the colors being used though, which I could probably change if I felt like it.

          1. @cavatina One big flaw in Twitter's system is that it won't grab *all* of the replies, so following a thread fully can easily be an exercise in futility half the time.
