  1. If I wanted a sermon I wouldn't have burnt down the church.

      1. @nerthos You see, WE made the choice to do evil, and because of our choices to sin, and the original sin warped and are still warping all of creation (including us)

        1. @dlcentaur No, in fact, some made the choice. But god doesn't give the ones who choose to reject evil the power to wipe it from this existance, so we must seek it by ourselves, eventually causing more evil and death in the process. Instead of punishing the sinners, he punishes the good ones by letting the sinners act with free reign.

          1. @nerthos Yes and no. God does not give any man the power to destroy evil. We must seek him and accept Jesus, he (in my opinion) is the only way (the truth and the light in the darkness) As I said before, yes, "Good" people And Christians get hurt because life is a Trial, a test, if you will. Life is painful, but all of it is to help us grow and learn. God gave us a LOT of freedom by allowing us to choose Evil and to choose Good. However, the Good path is a Narrow path, thus, you must be sincere to walk the road of Good. :)

            1. @dlcentaur As I said before, god knows the outcome and the process. He creates evil and watches the good people suffer it, forcing them to follow that only path and if they complain they are doomed forever. If I were to destroy all sinners, efectively saving one entire generation of the species, he would still condemn me.

              1. @nerthos But only if he existed.

                2. @colfax A good question, but I feel as though a debate in that area could get a little bit intense.... shall we avoid it?

                  1. @aeniug2 I'd rather avoid the whole mess entirely, but that can't seem to happen without massive amounts of butthurt being dispensed.

                    1. @colfax Indeed... A healthy debate is always good, but when it comes to religion many people have such an emotional attachment that it becomes more than just a friendly debate...

              2. @nerthos Because, even if you kill sinners, you are killing people. Murder isn't the answer, the answer has already been provided by Jesus. All we need to do is Go and follow him.

                1. @dlcentaur Aren't sinners what damn us? If they're people and we are people, and we both should live, doesn't that make them as worthy in the eyes of god as we are? If murder isn't the answer, then how do we disable them? Or are we damned to be tortured until death to earn salvation? Is this salvation worth it? And what it is exactly?
