  1. Out on the road right now; still probably about 3 hours from home. Anyone up to anything fun/interesting today?

    1. @haganbmj I had a final at 7 wasn't fun but I destroyed it so that's cool what's up with you?

      1. @extremedash Whoo - way to destroy that final! I'm not up too much, a bit bored in the car is all xD

        1. @haganbmj Yah I have to go pick my room mate from the bus stop so I'm about to be in the car

    2. @abigpony Down as in not doing well? What's up?

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:21:13 UTC from web
    3. @celestia DOWN WITH RP!... I've spent days on that stuff. Correction, I've wasted days on it.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:22:12 UTC from web
    4. @celestia An epic battle I am sure.

    5. @celestia I've never RPed here, it was in my younger days.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:24:11 UTC from web
    6. @celestia Agreed, never again.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:25:50 UTC from web
    7. @abigpony Ahhh that's much better to hear - :D ~ bit of a dull day though.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:26:09 UTC from web
    8. @celestia Actually, I do not see this in the ToS or the FAQ. Though I don't really see the rule about swearing there, either, no matter how many times I point this out.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:28:28 UTC from web
      1. @retl I think no swearing is just universal to pony sites really.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:29:48 UTC from web
        1. @starlightbolt As a moral sort of thing and recognition of the target audience, I could see why this should be the case. I don't care for swearing, myself. Not even in clopfics. But stuff like that really should be added in if it's going to be enforced, rather than citing point 8 to justify everything and not have it clear upfront to users what is and isn't the expected etiquette of users.

    9. @abigpony Yeah - should've clarified on that. Bit of a dull day on my end due to the driving. Been on the road about 4.5 hours so far, which, while not that much, is a span of time I haven't had to endure in a number of months. xD

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:36:46 UTC from web
    10. @celestia PG-13 certainly permits most swear words.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:37:06 UTC from web
    11. @celestia Aw no more Phoenix.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:37:37 UTC from web
    12. @celestia I've never seen @administrator do anything more than give warnings for swearing. The general line seems to be that it's acceptible within reason, but don't go overboard with it. As for roleplaying, rp was split off to a separate site for a reason (a few reasons, actually), so yeah. RP stays in rp.

      1. @puzzlemint posts have been removed before for profanity.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:40:42 UTC from web
    13. @celestia Quite.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:39:47 UTC from web
    14. @celestia Strict interpretation in most contexts I've seen refers to the practice of exercising rules exactly as they are written. Though I understand your intent. But right, if the Phoenix Wright silliness is considered RP, then perhaps what does and does not constitute RP should be defined more explicitly within the body of the FAQ.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:40:49 UTC from web
      1. @retl Agreed.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:41:44 UTC from web
      2. @retl and personally I would like to see more casual one-off RP sort of stuff here. It livens things up - like @derpyhooves coming by once in a while to give everypony a muffin, for example. I don't see a problem with stuff like that.

    15. @celestia I'm not American, so your references to past US politicians are lost on me.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:43:21 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
      1. @puzzlemint heck, I *am* American and I'm not sure I comprehend what @celestia was saying there. @magicrussia

    16. @scribus Eh?! I definitely do not remember that. Will have to watch it again (also that was a fun movie)

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:46:00 UTC from web
    17. @celestia I appreciate that you are trying to clarify in your post, but the fact remains that there is no explicit definition in the FAQs or ToS of either rainbowdash.net, rp.rainbowdash.net, or any of its software parents, which is the main issue. I don't think it is one that you can resolve alone.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 22:49:21 UTC from web
    18. @scribus I don't remember that. Wait I think I've only seen it on the TV.
