                        @redenchilada This is the exact reason why Open Standards are important. My school is forcing us to use Windows or MAC PC's because a school system is programmed in Silverlight. At the same moment I keep sitting behind my Linux system and remind them of the fact that, according to Dutch laws, they can't force me to use a computer system for school so they can't force me to use either Windows or MAC either.

                    @redenchilada If it's via the scheme I think it is, no. It's something Apple is doing with schools where the books are only available via iBooks, because apparently schoolbooks are being limited by not being interactive or something? It's a load of bull**** in my opinion. :/

      @ponydude Only very old versions of Silverlight run if you use a Firefox version that's 8 or lower with a buggy "Moonlight" plugin. It doesn't support the version of Silverlight my school uses nor a current version of Firefox. It's junk, really, and I refuse to put my system at risk by downgrading my browser for a plugin that doesn't even work =/
