-
@greydragon412 Fully downloaded, because bananas DA POLIEC!
-
@greydragon412 doing rainbow dash instead..... and Im just trying to figure out how to OPEN SAI, my laptop seems to think its an audio file.... :/
-
@greydragon412 I cant work it out.....
-
@purplephish20 it's an audio file. it should be .exe a program file
-
@purplephish20 It would appear Windows Media Player is somehow set as the default application for .exe files. Get rid of that.
-
@eaglehooves how how how how how how how????
-
@purplephish20 i know whats wrong. thats labled as a shortcut. try this: In that folder, press alt, then t, then o. View tab, then look for "hide extensions for known file types". at that point, you should see the file's REAL extension, which you change to .exe! Your welcome :)
- likes this. -
@techdisk42 i should say to uncheck hide extensions, too ^_^
-
@purplephish20 Default programs -> Set associations?
-
@purplephish20 Never mind, @techdisk42 has better eyes than me. Do what he says
-
@techdisk42 dis one. http://ur1.ca/8yl45
-
@eaglehooves In my defense however, I have seen a computer that couldn't open .exe files anymore.
-
@techdisk42 Ive looked through it and found the "hide extensions for known file types" bar, but what then exactly? Im still a little foggy
-
@techdisk42 do I just have to have that box unticked?
-
@purplephish20 yes. after you uncheck it and hit ok, look at your file. if its labelled as anything but .exe, change it. if it hasent changed, then that is an actual shortcut file, and you should see where it leads. (Right click it and click open file location)
-
@techdisk42 Ok... I just tried that, It made the file "Real", it asked me to run it.... but i got this..... wat? http://ur1.ca/8yl58
-
@purplephish20 Go to computer -> properties and look up your OS version. Under 'system type' it tells whether you have 32 or 64 bit Windows. 64 bit programs will not run on a 32 bit system.
-
@eaglehooves @techdisk42 It wants me to do this.... would you recommend? http://ur1.ca/8yl5r
-
@eaglehooves bananas..... Im on a 64 bit system...
-
@eaglehooves That or he just renamed a shortcut or something. Why the heck would Sai only be one EXE file. It has a bunch of other files with it.
-
@purplephish20 That's a good thing. :p
-
@purplephish20 You can try it, but I'm not sure it will work. I had some old 32 bit lab software that would not run on a 64 bit system in any compatibility setting.
-
@minti but... will it be compatable with SAI on this program I have?
-
@eaglehooves I need to set up my sempron again, just to unzip the Diablo 1 1.09 patch, since the patcher doesn't work on 64bits processors
-
@minti I think it's still just the installer.
-
@purplephish20 yes, try it.
-
@purplephish20 I've ran Sai on a 64 bit computer. So yes, it'll work.
