@rainbowdashsboyfriend Learn to get along with others or you're out of here. This is your only warning.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:40:46 UTC from web -
@rainbowdashsboyfriend Ok, you're done, see you sometime in the future.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:40:53 UTC from web-
@colfax I totally saw that coming, it was inevitable. He didn't take our advice and leave the site to calm down, and someone would say something to flare his anger and he'd retaliate and you'd silence him or something. Called it.

@colfax So yeah, thank you.

@rainbowdashsboyfriend You're actually directly insulting one of the mods and most liked users. Bye bye.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:41:29 UTC from web -
@purplephish20 It's not really /that/ offensive.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:42:08 UTC from web-
@nerthos that is actually one of the only words I do consider outright offensive, both to myself and others, few other words do that, such as the N word
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:43:36 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 People seem to get offended by really silly things.

@nerthos It's very offensive to anyone that doesn't lurk on 4chan.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:45:30 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel Lol yeah. I'm from the internet so words are just words to me now. You can say crap but it's never going to get to me, I'll just laugh in your face. :p
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:46:19 UTC from web -
@toksyuryel In this modern age, it's outright stupid to be offended by words.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:47:18 UTC from web-
@nerthos .....that's almost one of the most.....ignorant? yeah let's go with ignorant. things to say. of course you get offended by words!
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:48:36 UTC from web -
@nerthos It's not the words themselves, it's the intent behind them, he said it with the intent to cause harm.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:48:42 UTC from web-
@colfax Exactly. Offended in the internet. *laughingfillies*

@nerthos Unfortunately saying so won't stop people from being offended by them, and the viewpoint that they are offensive remains the dominant viewpoint held by society at large.

@conventrix *me not caring*xD there are plenty of words far more offensive.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:45:11 UTC from web -
@purplephish20 I'm not going to list insults here... and the modern use for n****r is not that offensive.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:48:49 UTC from web-
@nerthos the modern use for n****r IS bloody offensive, its just become more mainstream due to popular culture
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:50:17 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 @nerthos And it's still considered wildly unacceptable for a white guy to say it for any reason.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:51:26 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel I really don't care about it. If I see one and feel the urge to call him that, I will.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:52:41 UTC from web-
@nerthos You should probably never visit LA.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:55:01 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel I don't have a reason to do that.

@purplephish20 It's used to name a particular subgroup of black people, I don't find it very offensive.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:51:54 UTC from web-
@nerthos SUBGROUP? its a slander against ALL black people
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:52:32 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 No, it's aganist subdeveloped almost tribal irresponsible black people.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:53:40 UTC from web-
@nerthos try saying that to 95% of people
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:54:21 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 Ignorance is no excuse. 60% of the human populace is outright retarded and ignorant. Numbers don't make quality.
Sunday, 15-Apr-12 02:55:53 UTC from web-
@nerthos Yeeeaaaahhhh you've got a point there

@purplephish20 It's a lot more nuanced than that these days, actually; in many instances in fact it has the same meaning we ascribe to "bro". Though currently it will always be seen as what you described if a white guy says it, regardless of intent.
