  1. How to moderate RDN: http://i.imgur.com/3vbQi.gif

    1. @ceruleanspark That reminds me of me at alaplaya. Me: "I'm leaving this moderator team" -> Banned. Me: "Well, **** you too" -> Permabanned. (It was a bit more insultful than that, but I felt great afterwards. The fun fact was that I still had access to the quality assurance server and, even though I never check anymore, probably still have)

      1. @omni You worked with alaplaya?

        1. @ceruleanspark I was an unpaid staff member, have been in pretty much any position from ticket support to team leader (for approximately a day) to Quality Assurance to Game Master. I am TheLastProject, though you probably won't remember that name.

          1. @omni I played S2 League for a period, but not long enough to get good or serious about it. That's the only interaction I've had with them.

            1. @ceruleanspark Not sure if accidental misspell or fully aware of the fact that F2P-player had literally nothing after a while and often had to restart their account if they wanted to play with something more than half-damage training weapons.

              1. @omni I was not certain but when I saw that items were "time locked" and that you had to pay to keep them, I figured it was going to rapidly degrade into pay2win.

                1. @ceruleanspark You used to be able to pay them permanently and only cash shop items were timed. Then they switched to X hours, which was still pretty fair because they would only be used up when you play. But the moment they switched to real-time days (after I left) was the moment the game became completely unplayable. Their last actions? They lowered the base damage of ALL weapons, even the cash shop ones, and now they're selling new, more expensive cash shop weapons which are as powerful as the most expensive cash shop items used to be. It's jsut terrible. But yeah, it is definitely a pay2win, seeing as you can do about double the damage and get half the damage if your set is completely paid for.

                  1. @omni Outstanding. Pats on the back all around.

                  2. @omni Not as bad as a game I know where you can get almost 6x the leveling speed just by paying. The game was fun and all but it was SERIOUS pay to win. Like, it's impossible to get past the newbie levels without paying.

                    1. @minti You could get up to 150% more EXP for every match in S4 League, so not that different. But a damage boost like that is completely ridiculous in an action shooter.

                      1. @omni The game I'm talking about is completely different, so it's hard to compare. Just believe me when I say it was pretty bad. :p (If you're curious: Rebirthing.)

      2. @omni Lol alaplaya.

        1. @minti I know, they're pathetic. I have NEVER seen ANYONE on the Quality Assurance server, for example. And testing patches is a pretty damn hard job if there is nobody there to help you and it won't start a gamemode unless it's at least 1 vs 1. Glad they went bankrupt once and they're now part of the almost-bankrupt ProSiebenSatEins, they're all a bunch of manipulative liars and my life has only improved since I ragequitted out of there.

          1. @omni That may be true but, I have to say I've seen worse companies in the same business. :/
