@evilderpyshy You could try building your system in a minimalistic fashion. For example, Windows 7 uses up to 512MB RAM to just idle, my system idles just fine with 45MB RAM. You need to know what you want and take the time for it.

@omni Is that a server or a desktop? (Also, what command was that output from (so I can get the same set of information)?)

@bitshift It's a desktop system. It's the output of /sysinfo in the IRC Client Konversation. I'm not sure how it gathers the info exactly so I can't tell you what you can type into a terminal to get a similar result.
