  1. !coderpony I found the coolest thing last night! http://www.firebase.com/ Although, it's really unsecure. I hope they fix that.

          1. Yay back, random afk talking with dad! Okay so his one primary issue with me is my sleeping habits. I've tried everything I know to fix them but nothing's worked. Anyone got any tips on how to wake up in the morning on time? It needs to be creative cause, I can sleep walk all the way to my alarm, turn it off, then sleep walk back into bed, and I can apparently hold full conversations while asleep with someone trying to wake me up. :/

            1. @minti I think that was one of the longest dashes I've ever done.

            2. @minti Have you looked into one of those (all seem a bit novelty-ish, but they certainly work for me) alarms that requires you to solve a maths problem before they'll switch off?

              1. @bitshift I was actually JUST thinking that before I went on RDN to ask for help. Was thinking maybe I'd set up my computer as an alarm with a math problem to turn it off.

                1. @minti That should work, yeah. Just resist the temptation to build in a secondary disable method, or you _will_ find yourself using it, and breaking all your good work. :)

                    1. @toksyuryel Baahha. It'll probably be ran on my Windows box so that won't work. ;p

                        1. @bitshift *makes it a kernel mode driver* I wonder if I could get sound working from a Kernel driver..

Friday, 04-May-12 19:28:57 UTC from web
                          1. @minti Make sure it's built into the kernel and not a module, otherwise modprobe (or whatever the windows equivalent is) can forcefully remove it.

Friday, 04-May-12 19:31:43 UTC from web
                            1. @toksyuryel Sadly it would have to be a module, I don't think you're able to modify the window kernel. xD

                              1. @minti Well, make it a point then to never learn how to forcefully remove it XD unless you can sleeplearn you should be safe.

            3. @minti I have been an insomniac for 7 years, I have come up with ways when I do sleep (which I am basically a dead person when asleep) to wake myself up on time. What is your normal sleeping habit like how late do you stay up?

Friday, 04-May-12 19:23:19 UTC from web
              1. @noirbatch Well my sleeping schedule is more of a sleep day wake night schedule (I need to fix that too.) I normally sleep from 4 AM to 2-4 PM.

                1. @minti That is an odd schedule, and I like the math problem alarm idea. What I've learned is that setting up multiple alarms in different parts of my room helped. Even when half asleep all I heard was lound hard hitting dubstep.. lol

                  1. @noirbatch I've done that too, I was able to turn them all off and go back to bed without even waking up. :/ xD

                    1. @minti You're kidding? XD Well then I would suggest like one of those alarm clocks you have to get up and chase haha. For a while back at home I got my dog Dakota to take my blankets and run through the house so I had to catch him haha

                      1. @noirbatch Bahhaha. That would totally work for me! Too bad I don't have a blanket-gremlin dog.

    2. @thatonepony I tried that, eventually I just pass out and then don't wake up for 24 some odd hours. Not the best solution. xD

    3. @thatonepony I've heard things about lights, been meaning to try them. As for water: I've actually asked my dad to try this. He refuses, sadly.

      1. @minti >place the computer above your crotch, with a heavy weight suspended by the CD drive. When the alarm sounds, have it close the drive, dropping the weight.
