... if you want to read/join the Reddit discussion on !StatusNet / !GnuSocial, #Pumpio etc ---> http://qttr.at/b2k
-
Really ? XgF (I think he's one of the dumpio client devs): "I think its' fair to say that at this point the number of clients for #Pump.io is around the same number as there were for #StatusNet - and the average quality is higher."
-
@erkanyilmaz Of course the pressure to get working clients is high on Pumpio. Pumpio's web is really less than optimal
-
This reddit talk is biased twrds pump.Readers"ll conclude pumpio=paradise.I'm afraid I estimate identica has lost >50% of its active users.
-
let's wait for their reaction when they enter paradise ;-)
-
@erkanyilmaz My 1st thought was 'ROFL, they will be quite surprised when they'll find themselves in Pump.io after death"...
-
@erkanyilmaz ... but you prbbly meant they could try pump.io now (after all it's known as the future of social networking) usually ppl talk>
-
@erkanyilmaz > and then dont try it, or they give up too soon. This often happens w/StatusNet, too.
-
I bet every project thinks of itself as the #future, the secret is to turn the actual #construction area into something which has an advantage to the existing social, distributed systems (which have alone in maturity already an advantage)
-
... and we would have with compatible standards, protocols already a win - no matter where the users are (so they can talk with users on other systems)
-
I actually wonder if it would make sense to still post to the 2weeks old Reddid thread. Or will no-one read this? I don't have an acct there
-
@mcscx only one way to find out... ;)
-
sense: yes, take yourself as example: you posted it today so others can read it
-
@mk @erkanyilmaz I'll try posting to the reddid thread tomorrow or so :-)
-
@mcscx do let us know how it goes :)

Evan: "So, what you're saying is that hotpump.net and pumpdog.me are #embarrassing domains?"
-
@kuliax @mcscx @erkanyilmaz Can someone tell me, what "UX" means? I read this: "Friendica could be a drop-in replacement for Facebook if they improved UX" - and I would love to know what I can improve in Friendica to make people happy.
-
user experience http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_experience or ask 'em directly. I don't have a reddit account and won't make for such a discussion one
-
@heluecht it stands for "User eXperience"
