Is it just me, or does this holiday season just seem a little... less?

@vt3c I wasn't even aware of that. I'm not blaming any one group of people, or any group of people at all. It just seems less exciting. 1 day and a few hours till Christmas and the excitement is down.
-
@silverwing My family's doing the gift-giving and dinnering on the weekend instead of the day of, since mom's working and we don't really have the money right now anyway. It's not really less festive than usual, though.
-
@redenchilada Hmm... Well. My family does a bunch of Christmas parties for their church, and we usually go caroling, but all we did was have a very small party.
-
@silverwing Our Christmases are usually just shopping for the presents and having a nice day together. This'll be the first one in a few years I'm not gonna be around my dad for, though.
-
@redenchilada Same, too actually, about not being around my dad. He moved to Thailand last year for... some reason so this is the first year without him. I suppose once tomorrow comes it'll be a bit better, what with it being Christmas Eve and all.
-
@silverwing This year has been pretty bland in regards to holiday spirit.
-
@vt3c "The rich ruined it" is a stupid excuse that the scum of society uses
-
@nerthos Yeah. But tomorrow I'm going to an annual Christmas family party, so that should distract me until the big day.
-
@silverwing I'll go to my grandma's to have dinner and wait for 00hs as it's the tradition in my family.
-
@vt3c Neither
-
@nerthos Sounds great. We go to our great aunt's, but that's basically the same. We open some presents and do a gift exchange game before slogging off back home to sleep for a few hours.
-
@silverwing Christmas is pretty calm in my family. The party is at new year
-
@nerthos We usually have a party then too.
