@meloetta @techdisk Behold the tale of the complete safe Ponibooru archive... As you know, once in the distant past of 2011 there was the fabled site of ponibooru. As their empire fell they made their content available through torrent for all to download. Among the torrents there existed a great division and other smaller divisions within each. The two main groups of torrents were the select (highly-rated by users), and the complete sets. The 4 smaller groups within each of those were the safe, the questionable, the explicit, and the unrated (by content), making 8 torrents in all. The most popular of these, and abundantly downloaded, was the highly-rated safe collection which contained over 20 GB of images. This was larger by far than the other torrents combined except one. The complete safe Ponibooru collection roughly quadrupled the size of the select collection at about 90 GB of content.

@tia @meloetta @techdisk Many could not withstand the magnitude of this torrent's greatness. Though many tried, they could not even so much as open the torrent file itself as the files were each individually listed in it unzipped and even the sturdiest torrent clients couldn't handle it. After trial and error I found that it required Transmission specifically on Linux to handle all of the weird filename characters, and, so, through fire and water, from the lowest dungeon to the highest peak, I fought him, the complete safe Ponibooru torrent, until at last, I threw down my enemy and smote his ruin upon the mountainside. Darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time. Stars wheeled overhead and every day was as long as a life-age of the earth. But it was not the end. I felt life in me again.

@tia I would use these hard drives more but I can only access them through a slow USB 2.0 to IDE adapter, and they are heavy desktop sized ones.

@techdisk yeah. I know that feel. I have an adapter like that myself for old drives. Nowadays a cheap thumb drive can hold as much as some of the drives I own, but I've kept them to archive my family photos and part of my music library.
