Bottom line: I know a lot of you in here are artists. I respect a LOT of you for what you create. I simply mentioned that MUCH of digital art is hackneyed...I didn't intend to mean that applied to you, okay? If I don't like your art, I'ma tell you.

@clayinthecarpet Do some research before you make claims. Most digital art has nothing to do with vectors. I never even SEE vectors I just see tons of new and original artwork created by talented people.

@scoot I meant most digital pony art. There is a huuuuuuuuge amount of simple recolored pony vectors out there. That is what I was chiding.

@scoot As a human being no. You're not an outlier that way. As one discussing things on a pony site, acting like ponies aren't always relevant.. yes. That's not to say ponies are always relevant, but you're still an outlier that way.

@redenchilada yeah. You're right really. I mean there's only so much pony to discuss, and if you don't repeat topics too often you get long silent periods. I just get irked when people say they're uninterested in ponies here.

@scoot I obviously care about your political opinions or I wouldn't pick at you sometimes. Again, as a human, on non-pony topics, I value your input as much as I value the next guy's generally. I figure you hate conservatism and that's why you typically don't respond to me. Tha, combined with the fact that I like ponies makes for sparse conversation between us.

@tia "Liking ponies" doesn't grant you any additional qualification to know what's good for the site. A mixture of different opinions is neccessary for everyone to be happy and I effectively act as ambassador for those who aren't interested in ponies but still enjoy using the site. Simply by thinking the way you do shows how narrow-minded you're being about the site and it's users. Stop claiming this "I'm more qualified" because is is simply false

@redenchilada that would fit since you like non-pony stuff to be such a big part of this place. I'd still be grateful to you for everything you do of course, and I'd like you as much as any non-brony internet friend, but I'd consider you unqualified to decide what this site should be, since I consider this place for bronies, otherwise, why use Rainbow's name?

@redenchilada You're a huge Scootaloo fan! How can you be a Scoot fan but not a brony? In any case, it's not my site, like you implied. Why is my standard of by fans for fans so unreasonable? If you'reat least guided by the fans you'll be alright in any case, but then it's not you deciding "what this site should be" like I said. It's the fans, who, imo, are obviously qualified.

@scoot They're not unqualified to work under the direction of a fan, but to work alone, yes, unqualified. Why is this so hard to get? It helps when that doesn't have to be directed, but just comes naturally to the show staff. If the director weren't a fan of their own show then they'd obviously have big problems keeping it going, but they could take direction from Hasbro still who, at some level, must be a fan of the show or they'd not sell merch.

@tia It's not that I'm not a brony (because I am one, technically), but that mindset is simply flawed. If you're an active member of the community who knows what they want, whether or not you watch the show has no bearing on how "qualified" you are to "guide" the site. Besides which, nobody on staff has been trying to guide this site "away" from pony talk. It just happens that people here have other things they want to discuss more.
