@redenchilada Hey, you know the "stream mode" context? Would it be possible to have the little hover boxes to make it easier to work out who's replying to what?

@mastertdi ...Steam mode context? There should be hover-over context display for replies in any situation where what notice it's replying to would be ambiguous (everything except threaded conversation pages).
-
@mastertdi It sent your reply to the beta site again
-
@redenchilada The settings call this stream mode but no hover http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/576512

@mastertdi Works fine on my end. http://pny.lv/72s
-
@redenchilada Aw shucks.
-
@redenchilada I believe what's happening to that person is when the conversation context get's lost, or when Statusnet decides to lose it. When that happens, there's no context any more to be had. Which is possibly when they are trying to go over it.
-
@mrdragon I think what's happening is the notice he's trying to see the context of isn't on the page. The site doesn't load any notices that aren't on the page for the context hover.
-
@redenchilada Very possible, is that bug still around where one person deletes a post in a context thread the entire thread becomes destroyed? That may be a issue that's continuing to hurt it as well.
-
@mrdragon Nah. If a post can't find its reply it attaches to the first notice, and if the first notice is the one that doesn't exist it just loads notice 1 instead (which leads to some hilarious-looking conversation threads where Cabal gets a lot of hostility for posting about his arrival).
-
@redenchilada He's still around?
-
@mrdragon No, it's that his first notice is what gets loaded in a conversation page when the root notice can't be found. So like "The Cabal has arrived." -> "@suchandsuch No, YOU'RE the worst pony! Eat grapes!"
-
@redenchilada Oh that is just perfect, I love it. I'd love to see what conversations mine would bring to the plate.
