    2. @snowcone it does. The point is I'm sensitive to people claiming to be vets even as a joke because (I personally) feel it disrespects those who did fight and or die

    3. @snowcone i view them as regular people who are only different because they went through hell. That difference alone is enough that I find it disrespectful.

    4. @snowcone i hope you never get shot at to learn why. I have to remind myself that no one would understand unless they were there and if everyone did understand the world whould probably be a lot mangoestier place

    5. @snowcone i'd counter with the fact that you don't actually know until you do no matter what you think. Same as when you become a father.

    6. @snowcone the chief aspect is fear followed by intensity. Fear comes from worrying about your friends next to you and then yourself and intensity comes from wanting to make sure your friends next to you and then yourself get home. I've been in plenty of near death experiences on cars and a crash on a motorcycle. I've slipped off a rope once and thought I'd die (but this is stupid because I hadn't realized I wasn't that high up and would be fine). It is a conpletely different feeling.

    7. @snowcone ya, you're not right but I'm not going to try to explain it. Like I said it's not something people can understand until it happens to them.
