It’s dangerous to go alone! Take a pet or two with you or even an ancient malevolent entity who means you much bodily harm!

@nerthos i should try that game
-
@mushi I copypasted it from here http://ur1.ca/gkucm
-
@nerthos ah, i thought it was that the witcher gane
-
@mushi Well I actualy opened GOG to start downloading the second one. I'm already at the fourth chapter of the first one, nearing the end. You can probably find them on sale once or twice a year on GOG. Haven't played 2 yet, but 1 is great.
-
@nerthos the second one is pretty big. for wht i remember the xbox version is 5 disks long
-
@mushi The enhanced edition http://ur1.ca/gkudp
-
@nerthos hm.. yeah, it is pretty big
-
@nerthos hoe big is the first one
-
@mushi 9.38 GB
-
@nerthos You finished the Witcher 1 ? Or still working on it ?
-
@mushi The extras add a lot of weight. The modding tools alone are 6GB
-
@critialcloudkicker Just started chapter 4 before going for a nap this morning. Could have advanced more but I decided to go with my dad to his cousin's funeral.
-
@mushi Part of the reason for the relatively big sizes is that the games are translated to at least ten languages.
-
@nerthos My condoleances to your dad ... ... ... About that game though, you still play it on chapter 4, is it still good ?
-
@critialcloudkicker Yeah. It's pretty good, mostly because the game is focused on questing rather than combat.
-
@nerthos is it avaliable for xbox or ps3?
-
@nerthos well, there is that
-
@mushi The first one isn't.
-
@nerthos well, is the second one a sequel or just a spiritual sucessor?
-
@mushi When I installed 1 I was legitimately surprised by the language options.
-
@nerthos That is the way I was playing it, And then my computer blew up... I build myself a a "new" functioning one from parts I had lying around... Probably the coolest PC I ever build, not even the noisiest... But I think it will scream for my death in multiple tongues and/or languages if I give it The Witcher 1 to chew on... Altough I OC'ed it a little bit so it could run FO3:NV and, it is very well playable, some things pop in unannounced every once in a while ( complete mountains, area's in the shadow, smoke from a campfire ) ... thing does not go over 50C ( 55C for the Processor ) ... ... ... Hmm, I might just give it a shot, once I am done with New Vegas
-
@nerthos that is cool, sure is better than some of the games that are coming here only with the Br dub
-
@critialcloudkicker It may run if you set it to low graphics.
-
@nerthos Possibly... Possibly...
-
@mushi It's a sequel, even though the questlines aren't the same as 1, it happens just after that. It even lets you port over save files.
-
@nerthos oh, might not play that them. i will keep my next big western RPG to Dragon age inquisition
-
@mushi You'll eventually need a newer computer, and when you change it you'll have your chance at playing it. You don't need to be skilled with keyboard and mouse to play since combat boils down to some clicking, and you can pause at any moment to use potions and issue commands.
-
@nerthos i might get a good computer when i have a well paying job, but that will take some time
-
@mushi You can read the books. The games are a direct sequel to the books. Plus by the time you get a new computer 3 will be out, so if you get into it you might be able to play the whole saga in a row.
-
@nerthos oh, there are books?
-
@mushi Eight books, a movie, a tv series, a comic, two games and an upcoming third. It's a pretty big franchise.
-
@nerthos wow, i onyl knew the games
-
@mushi The franchise only started being important outside eastern europe with the release of the games.
-
@nerthos well, makes sense. maybe the books come to brazil sometime, these game books are getting a bit popular here
-
@mushi I don't know if they've been translated to portuguese. My brother bought the first four second hand, but the dude who owned them had to import them from spain.
-
@nerthos well, if they cared to translate the game that much, maybe they do it to the rest. i tried to read a book in english ne and it took forever, i still need to practice a lot
-
@mushi Seems the first book is out in portuguese already. The rest isn't. In english there's 3 or 4 books and the rest are fan translations, and in spanish the first seven have been released. The eight one is only available in polish and probably czech
-
@nerthos oh cool, maybe i should buy this one.The name is "the witcher"?
-
@mushi O Último Desejo
-
@nerthos i would never find
-
@mushi ?
-
@nerthos i would never find the book
-
@mushi A google search gave me a lot of results from brazilian sites
