I'm about to order a Thinkpad x201 and I don't know if I should take 8GB RAM or 16GB RAM. It's only a difference of 50€. I think I take 16GB.

@critialcloudkicker Nope, I haven't. I searched for a better price or a better laptop but I couldn't find one.

@critialcloudkicker The bare version: 370€. But I want 16GB RAM and a bigger HDD (750GB) and a bigger (new) battery... So in the end it'll cost me about 550€ (with a fitting neopren cover and new trackpoint caps).

@chris NEVAR!!!!!1111 I want a REAL laptop. With a REAL keyboard and NO fingerprint-on-the-screen-inducing input method. I just want a good laptop and no tablet hybrid. Also I highly appreciate the Thinkpad's trackpoint and keyboard quality. BTW: I want to be sure that it will run my Linux smoothly and this will be guaranteed with this thinkpad.
