    10. @thatonepony ONe and Twenty I thought?

Thursday, 17-May-12 05:55:17 UTC from web
    11. @thatonepony Well the test only gave me a 20 as the high score. So...

Thursday, 17-May-12 05:57:05 UTC from web
    12. @thatonepony Where are you going to get a d100 to roll?

Thursday, 17-May-12 05:57:06 UTC from web
    13. @thatonepony We two are using a D&D test to determine our stats, so 1-20

Thursday, 17-May-12 05:58:26 UTC from web
    14. @thatonepony I know, but it's spread enough to be the norm.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:00:25 UTC from web
    15. @thatonepony I know there are d100 dice. I used one a couple times. But they're expensive and not as practical as a d20. Though you could just convert d20 to d100 by just multiplying by 5.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:01:32 UTC from web
      1. @nerthos two d10's make a d100. if you have no d20 for some reason, you can oddly make a d20's probability from a d6 and a d10 - you just have to think inside the chimney.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:06:22 UTC from web
        1. @crusader8 It's better to use a d% and a d10, so there's no "That's a 92" "Nu-uh, it's a 29" arguing. But shhh...

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:07:49 UTC from web
          1. @nerthos that's why you say, "the red d10 is for tens, the blue d10 is single-digits"

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:09:48 UTC from web
            1. @crusader8 Oh well. In my group we always try to get matching colour dice or the same dice we had good rolls with.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:10:57 UTC from web
              1. @nerthos matching? What sorcery is this?

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:11:37 UTC from web
                1. @crusader8 It's what happens when you have a big bag'o'dice or you go and buy them the same colour. I use aqua green transparent dice.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:15:07 UTC from web
                  1. @nerthos they're probably translucent, but I forgive you

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:16:07 UTC from web
                    1. @crusader8 Yeah, language things.

                      1. @nerthos Advanced wars has always had really good music. Days of Ruin's is perfect though.

                      1. @bitshift The only song I don't like in Days of Ruin is Forsyth's.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:36:49 UTC from web
                        1. @carcino It's... passable, and it fits him well enough, but yeah. Doesn't really grab me like the rest of the soundtrack does.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:44:29 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                          1. @bitshift The other two Lazurian COs have the best songs.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:46:16 UTC from web
                            1. @carcino Yup. (As a sidenote, I am having to mentally translate half of what you're saying, because some _genius_ at Intelligent Systems decided that the countries, and pretty much every CO, needed different names for the EU release. It's pretty much as bothersome as it sounds.)

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:53:26 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                              1. @bitshift SURE DO LOVE SPEAKING THIS HERE ENGLISH SPEAK.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:54:16 UTC from web
                                1. @carcino I mean, I do appreciate that the EU release actually stuck closer to the Japanese names, but I don't really see why there even needed to be a separate set of names, especially not this many: http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Advance_Wars:_Days_of_Ruin/Regional_Differences

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:01:40 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                                  1. @bitshift I like Catalia better then Isabella.

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:03:42 UTC from web
                                    1. @carcino Yeah. I do like the EU names, I just wish the whole thing had been a bit more consistent.

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:07:14 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                                      1. @bitshift I prefer Will over Ed.

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:08:02 UTC from web
                                        1. @carcino Mm. It's certainly a more thematically appropriate name.

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:10:47 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                                          1. @bitshift I suppose. I don't look into things that deep.

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:12:11 UTC from web
                                            1. @carcino Well, I mean that it carries the extra meaning of will as in willpower, which is pretty fitting for the game. Whereas Ed is just... Ed. There's really nothing more that can be read into that name.

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:15:25 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                                              1. @bitshift Ed is a boring name. Will can be William.

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:16:30 UTC from web
                                  2. @carcino Of particular note is that _both_ have a "Great Owl", but it's not the same thing that's called that. It's... phenomenally stupid. :(

Thursday, 17-May-12 07:05:05 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                                    1. @bitshift I have all the advanced wars.

                                      1. @carcino As do I; it's an excellent series.

    16. @thatonepony @nerthos I was going to suggest that.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:02:20 UTC from web
    17. @thatonepony Maybe there. Here tabletop RPGs aren't as widespread. And that's like, 10 times a d20.

Thursday, 17-May-12 06:56:35 UTC from web
    20. @thatonepony That's an interesting ability. It will be useful once we start raiding drug cooks for loot.
