  1. Well I was going to use the Skype !XMPP transport from jabbim.com... doesn't seem to like my current group chats, though. http://puu.sh/7o79z

    1. @snowcone I'm sorry. I should have tried harder.

    2. @neuraria It is a bad idea, jabbim.com will not give you a Skype transport permanently for obvious reasons.

      1. @xrevan86 Trust me, I understand it's not a great solution :p it's a bit of a compromise until I either get my friends over onto a server... to be completely honest with you I don't think it's ever going to happen, but these guys in particular have been my friends for about ten years, as much as I/we dislike Skype I don't want to stop talking to them because of it :\ It's a bit of a rough situation...

        1. @neuraria You don't understand. jabbim.com will stop providing a transport to you one day. Something like free trial, and after it you'll have to pay if you want to continue. And it is reasonable because transport requires an instance of Skype for every single user (and Skype isn't a lightweight software at all).

          1. @xrevan86 Oh, yeah. They told me about that when I registered it. I guess for now it is just better to just run Skype as an individual client?

            1. @neuraria Yea, or to start a Skype transport of your own :-).

              1. @xrevan86 That would be worth looking into at some point, once I actually use my server for xmpp instead of a hosted service
