  1. You know what feels weird? It's nearly 4PM and I still have four hours until work.

    1. @neuraria A night shift? Lucky. (maybe)

      1. @awl Yeah, same place but they are trying me out on cleanup. Sweeping, mopping, etc.

        1. @neuraria That doesn't sound bad at all, but that can be opinion more than anything.

          1. @awl Well, the only thing about it that might be considered annoying is it's three hours of cleaning, but then again it's the same hours I was getting on the broiler so it's not like that's a bad thing...

I was getting a lot less hours before anyway, so hey, if this works out for me, more shifts, more income :)

            1. @neuraria The way to look at it, at least for now. I wouldn't mind having a night shift; too bad very little auto garages are open late here.

              1. @awl Right. I'm just lucky I have parents who are willing to drop me off and pick me up. Public transport is minimal during the evening hours, unless I really need a taxi.

                1. @neuraria Something tells me taking a taxi to work every day would defeat the purpose.

                  1. @awl Yeah, that too. I mean, I have a driver's licence, but only a learner permit. I can't drive a car on my own.

                    1. @neuraria You know, there strikes something I've been meaning to ask an Australian about. Does driving seem like, imperative to the culture there? As in, like it's still a rather big deal (I think so) in the States to get your license in your teenage years.

                      1. @awl When you get a full licence, I imagine so. It was certainly big when I got my Ls. I think it's certainly important when you are in a country area, and towns are quite a ways apart.

                        1. @neuraria This, and the somewhat similarity there is in cars between the States and Australia, is what makes me wonder. Well, similarities you guys have better cars
