Obviously by "all" I mean Dexter and Breaking Bad

@mastertdi What was Dexter's sub plot again? I think my brain was permafried after the final season.

@xeleanorxrigbyx It varied. Mainly I'm talking about the Angel/LaGuerta love/hate thing which I found completely unengaging

@mastertdi Oh right. I forgot about most of those, which I guess is saying something. Guess they wanted the characters to have more.... depth?

@xeleanorxrigbyx They did it well for the vast majority, and I still thought all the characters were well-written and whatnot. Hell, anything is unengaging compared to the main plot of Dexter.

@mastertdi And then season 5 hit and the show derailed. choo choo...

@xeleanorxrigbyx Ugh season 5 was the worst. I enjoyed 6 and most of 8 though, but I definitely felt less compelled after 5.

@mastertdi I think I liked 7 because the villain was more classy and smart. 5 and 6 I just sort of stuck with it, but season 8 actually had me yearning for the end of each episode. Doesn't help that I can't stand Hannah and that whole debacle mostly had me yelling at the TV.

@xeleanorxrigbyx I couldn't stand Hannah until the last few episodes when she wasn't trying to kill everyone, but by that point I didn't really care too much about what happened to any of them. I still like season 8 for its surprises, but I can understand why people didn't like it that much. I enjoyed enough of the series for me to consider it one of the best television shows I've seen, at least
