@mushi Replying.

@xeleanorxrigbyx lel
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx If you want to reply someone who isn't on your instance and who you don't follow, then reply to his post directly :-).
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx oh the whole federated systeme got to me at first as well. But that's the fun of Statusnet.
-
@xrevan86 @redenchilada Ah, that's what threw me. It didn't come up on the public timeline but I see it in replies. Alright, take three. (thanks for the info!)
-
@solderingiron Didn't even know they could talk to each other until pretty recently to be honest.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx oh yes; you can also join groups created in other instances: for example i am in !TIL even though it was made in eduposse.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx It's a pretty interesting thing StatusNet has going. I did a bit to bring some of that to the public timeline (showing users you're subscribed to on public even if they're on other instances or sandboxed), but it obviously isn't perfect. :/ If I decide to go back into it I might just figure out how to splice Public and Personal together.
-
@solderingiron my god there's so much internet.
-
@redenchilada Still pretty nifty. And I learned a few things today.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx It reminds me of email a lot. Right down to the user@instance.com format for subscribing to them
-
@redenchilada And check this: !gstools
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx A Brave New World
-
@snowcone Vanilla StatusNet has an option to show all remote users it knows about on Public for everyone, but there's no option for remote subscriptions only. I added that.
-
@pztrn gstools server went offline in a very inappropriate moment %).
