@xeleanorxrigbyx whoa. That's how much one of my cars costs but that includes a wildlife contribution.
-
@solderingiron I think they go on age around here. The older the car the cheaper. We had an 83 and I think it was like $20.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx typically here also. I know my last car was around 80USD because it was a 2000.
-
@solderingiron Yeah, I think both my 2000 and 2004 in the past were about $80. Crazy DMV.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx (own cars older than 25 model years and most states have "collector's plates").
-
@solderingiron Ha, yeah. The 83 was exempt from a ton of stuff because it was a "classic"
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx i should be doing that on my '84 but the mileage restriction was too low for last year, at either rate.
-
@solderingiron Huh, didn't even know that was a thing. So if you keep it nice and don't drive it much it doesn't qualify?
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx i've seen total junkers with collector's plates on them so asthetics aren't the issue here in Minnesota. When I looked up the wualifications it was just a the year, but restricts to 5.000mi/yr. It likely varies from state to state.
-
@solderingiron Huh, interesting. Don't have the car anymore but I suppose that could be useful information if I ever decide to get another.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx collector's car insurance is pretty good an idea also.
-
@solderingiron I don't know if I had that or not. Oh well. All these nifty things to consider. Now to import an R32....
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx (celica supra)
-
@solderingiron Heh, it's not really my sort of car, but my boyfriend would sell his soul for one. I prefer muscle over tuner.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx slam a 350 in it. (Please don't).
-
@solderingiron but.... gotta go fast!
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx (go v12)
