@redenchilada I don't have that character on my keyboard though

@pony Do you have a numberpad? It's just 3's secret identity.

@redenchilada oh thanks! ♥ @broniebrown that's a good idea too. I've never fiddled with the keyboard layout before, but it doesn't seem like it'd be too tough.

@pony I did this on Linux and it was easy. There are media keys originally mapped on the arrow keys that can be accessed by the function key but I mapped them to pgDwn, pgUp, home, and end so I can browse more comfortably through my code without changing my hand positions a lot.

@pony You can remap a keyboard key that prints this character.

@snowcone It's more fun than saying alt-3

@snowcone VIM is a very powerful editor and a lot of people like it a lot because of the many functions and shortcuts but I'm not one of those people. I appreciate its power but I didn't get used to the input style. I prefer nano as terminal editor. Otherwise I use Kate, KDevelop or QtCreator to code.

@snowcone A fellow student uses VIM to the extreme. He installed so many plugins that it transformed into a full-blown IDE with syntax highliting, git integration and so on.
