Aww man Dark Souls 2 is really damn awesome, I don't think I've gotten so immersed in a game since the first one.

@northernnarwhal It could use more skeletons though.

@nerthos I don't have any divine weapons so the lack of skeletons has made it easier to explore the massive overworld.

@northernnarwhal I still haven't fought the first boss. Accidentally dropped from the place where the eagle drops the armored thing too and it went away before I climbed back on. I want skeletons for the sake of effigies.

@nerthos I've beaten 3 bosses so far. Also, would/do skeletons drop effigies? I was wondering if there's any way to farm them (kind of like how you could farm humanity from rats in DS1)
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 04:53:59 UTC from web-
@northernnarwhal Fought one under the mansion and it dropped an effigy.
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 04:55:05 UTC from web-
@nerthos Oh neat. Which mansion?
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 04:56:29 UTC from web-
@northernnarwhal The one in the town, with the pigs next to it. I still haven't tried my hand at bosses since I started as the naked guy and only now have acquired somewhat decent armor (falconeer's)

@northernnarwhal You should know however that the mansion's skeleton doesn't respawn
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 04:58:13 UTC from web-
@nerthos Do you need divine weapons to kill them and do you need to use the front entrance (it said the door was locked for me)
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 04:59:10 UTC from web-
@northernnarwhal I killed it with a longsword. No necromancer around. You get the key from the map guy,
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 05:04:00 UTC from web-
@nerthos No, wait, ignore the armored fat guy part.
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 05:04:49 UTC from web-
@nerthos Okay, sure thing.
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 05:05:44 UTC from web-
@northernnarwhal I mixed things up, the fat guy comes after you climb down the stairs after climbing the tree thing to the top.
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 05:06:21 UTC from web-
@nerthos That clears things up.

@nerthos What weapons and armour are you using right now?
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 05:09:26 UTC from web-
@northernnarwhal Longsword and shortsword, kite shield, falconeer's and the merchant blue hat that raises item discovery
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 05:10:31 UTC from web-
@nerthos I have that hat as well, as well as a knight armour set I found in a further area after some boss battles. Currently using the lightning sword I got from defeating the white knight under the tree in the forest. It's fast, has a decent range, very good moveset and damage, and is a great way to get elemental damage early in. Also, I've been having trouble parrying so I bought a twin dragon greatshield that I can turtle with for the time being.
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 05:13:29 UTC from web-
@northernnarwhal I didn't attack the white guy both because of poor equipment and because he never did anything to me
Sunday, 27-Apr-14 05:14:57 UTC from web-
@nerthos I tried attacking him once to see what would happen (I got my ass kicked). But I was playing with Snow and he (wanting to one up) managed to defeat it and was telling me about the sword he dropped. Decided I would give him another go with some better items and managed to beat him with a bit of clever maneuvering. It's definitely worth it, I haven't unequipped this weapon since I got it.
