I should probably have stretched out these shoes before wearing them today. Oops.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Do as this one friend of mine did once and travel back home without shoes
-
@nerthos That sounds like a recipe for all sorts of issues.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx She wore boots for a cosplay in the convention we went to, and decided to remove the boots at the end of it and walk in socks. A subway, a train, a couple of poodles and a lot of dirt later she got home.
-
@nerthos Eek! Sadly if I took these off I'd be barefooted. And there's no way I want to walk around downtown barefoot. I'd probably come home with 6 diseases and 4 different infections or something.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx It's a wonder nothing happened to her that one time, considering the convention was in the capital, which means like three hours of traveling around.
-
@nerthos Yikes. At least she made it through though
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx There was her boyfriend, her boyfriend's brother, me, another friend, and maybe one to three more people in the group that day so she would have made it back in pretty much any scenario.
-
@nerthos Good on you all for looking out for her. Hopefully you all had a good time.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx Yeah conventions with friends are always fun. Like this one time my friend came looking for me because he was flirting with this girl in front of the scenario until she stopped and said "What am I doing? my boyfriend is up there, playing the bass" and he thought the whole band would beat him up, and counted on me to help him in the fight (which never happened)
-
@nerthos Sounds great! I need to find a bigger city. The local con is small and sorta lame. Although apparently this year we're getting a version of ComicCon.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx I live an hour away from the country's capital so I always go there for conventions.
-
@nerthos I live smack in the middle of the redneck bible belt. The fact that we're getting Comicon is astounding to me.
-
@xeleanorxrigbyx Times change, and with them attractions. If the population grows big enough conventions and things of the like are bound to show up.
