@scoot Canada didn't even qualify xD
-
@scoot Who were England playing today? It was Uruguay, correct?
-
@northernnarwhal Yeah
-
@scoot Isn't football/soccer really popular in England?
-
@northernnarwhal Unfortunately yes
-
@scoot it could be worse. You could have Rooney putting corners a mile behind the goa- oh wait
-
@scoot Ah, the Canadian equivalent is hockey. Everyone here loves hockey.
-
@northernnarwhal I don't know why people are interested. For me the World Cup just means at least one TV Channel is now "FOOTBALL CHANNEL" for a bit
-
@scoot I follow it casually but I could care less. Also, is "football" the regularly used term there?
-
@northernnarwhal Yeah I've never heard and Englishman say "Soccer".
-
@scoot I honestly think "football" is much better term. It makes mores sense. It's a game where you kick the ball with your foot. Most of American football involves you carrying the ball unless you're punting it. I do use the term "soccer" more often though, mostly to avoid confusion and to not come off as pretentious.
