    1. @redenchilada One thing I think would make the new (and old-school) format better would be the ability to see popups for hidden in context messages. Also, does responding to a thread bump the thread to the top? (testing now)

      1. @redenchilada hrm.. it doesn't bump a thread to the top. So what happens when there are too many new threads above? does the conversation that I'm typing in just disappear? Also, the way many posters can insert their responses into threads above this one mean that this one can jump a lot more than a normal message might which is slightly annoying, though not a deal-breaker for me.

        1. @redenchilada Also, if we're locked into thread/new mode it becomes harder to keep track of new comments generally. Maybe this could be fixed with a parallel mini-feed of new comments that either floats in the sidebar, always visible, or something else.
