  1. Testing if Microsoft Office worked, dad just bought me a key and all. I had fun with it's programs. Apparently it did, I'm happy.

    1. @beatstrings I honestly don't see the use of Microsoft Office considering that Google Drive is a thing

      1. @thewaifutyphoon Well, it's my tradition, plus the campus told me that they would rewire the wi-fi, meaning I have to rely in offline applications for about a month or two.

        1. @beatstrings Google Drive is offline compatible.

          1. @thewaifutyphoon Thanks Ross, never knew that. I should be on the internet more.

              1. @thewaifutyphoon Thanks, will do that later, working on 50 layers and counting.

              2. @thewaifutyphoon Oh, and another thing, many, I mean 90% of Filipinos don't know google drive nor ever heard of it, that includes my professors, my classmates and my parents. So... there, I think it's reasonable having this.

                1. @beatstrings I never said it was reasonable, just that there's a free suite that rivals Office 9 times out of 10, so there's no real need for MO anymore

                  1. @thewaifutyphoon Oh, no I'm not blaming you at all, I'm just really trying to explain environments, since I rarely talk about myself. And since MO is going in decline, well, time to move on.

    2. @spint for the average student, not really.

    3. @spint note where I said /average/ student, where the most they'd really use is word processing, maybe a spreadsheet and an occasional slideshow or whatever they're called

      2. @thewaifutyphoon Yup, mostly term papers and essays, so I think that alone make use of its purpose quite decently. I mean, it fits my ridiculous amount of work that usually involves typing and explaining in front of the class.

        1. @beatstrings and it syns online when your internet is available, so you don't even really need your laptop or a flash drive if you have internet.

          2. @thewaifutyphoon Nope, no USBs Just a cloud drive on Mega.co.nz. Though I have a external for other files and projects, but I rarely put anything school related on that thing. Only music, mlp and some projects I tend to procrastinate on.

    4. @spint I dunno about a collage, but it's not unheard of to only require what I listed.

    5. @spint I don't think you'd make a collage in college, but many North American colleges tend to follow the criteria Ross listed.
