@nerthos Except that it falls flat when it's only talking about Tumblr's version of Feminism instead of actual feminists. 0/10 nice try
-
@nerthos This is why I love 4chan
-
@scoot yo a party poopah, dawg.
-
@scoot The post addressed what it was and what it's become
-
@northernnarwhal It's still talking about TUMBLR feminism, the laughing stock of the movement
-
@scoot And the forefront of the modern movement
-
@northernnarwhal What? No. Just because it's what you see most often because you're on the internet doesn't mean it's "the forefront". Nobody off the internet takes tumblr seriously
-
@scoot No, outside of tumblr too. People fighting for actual rights these days aren't calling themselves feminists.
-
@northernnarwhal Patrick Stewart calls himself a feminist, that is enough proof for me.
-
@scoot I don't feel like my beliefs align with the term given how it's evolved. I would rather use a term like "humanist".
-
@northernnarwhal humanists are a separate thing. You could call yourself that but you'd have a similar problem with people confusing what your beliefs are.
-
@pony I know they're separate, that's why I brought up the term as an example. Because I'm not a feminist.
-
@scoot Patrick Stewart could call himself an ogre and nobody would question him, he's too cool to be held to the same standards as the rest of the population.
-
@northernnarwhal Alright. I wasn't sure if you thought humanism was a unique term.
