Getting urxvt to work, changing the font and all: easy. Copying from urxvt: Apparently impossible...

@omni Highlight to copy, middle-click or shift+insert to paste.

@toksyuryel I tried that, but when I do that it always selects something from the other buffer, so I paste the wrong thing =/

@omni "from the other buffer"? Not sure what you mean. Getting used to copy/paste between terminal emulators and other X applications takes some getting used to I'll admit.

@toksyuryel Normally, if I select something by just dragging my mouse over it I can paste it somewhere else with the middle mouse button (lets call that "Buffer 1") and if I use Ctrl+C I can paste with Ctrl+V (lets call that "Buffer 2"). However, when I select something in Urxvt by selecting text, go to another program (or stay in Urxvt) and press the middle mouse button, it will paste whatever I used Ctrl+C ...

@omni That's bizarre. It works fine here so I can't diagnose what the problem might be.

@toksyuryel It's probably something that seemed completely unrelated that I broke. I'm using Arch, after all, which really is more difficult than my level :P

@omni Maybe something to do with xclip?
Sunday, 27-May-12 13:52:40 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel I didn't have xclip installed, so it's hard to say that caused it. I would think it's an Urxvt issue, because all other terminal emulators I use work just fine, even Konsole, Yakuake, Xfce4-terminal and the likes. Only Urxvt is causing issues when it comes to this. It's still the nicest terminal emulator for general use, even though this issue is quite annoying, so I don't really want to stop using it.

@omni Maybe something is messed up in your configuration then, possibly even with the compile-time configuration?
Sunday, 27-May-12 13:58:40 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel Well, I'm using a pre-built package from the Arch Linux repository so it's quite possible someone else compiled it in a way that just doesn't work well for me.

@omni That is reason #1 for why I use Gentoo, I decide what options each package is compiled with :D

@toksyuryel You should really help me get through the installation procedure once, then. On which IRC could I query you again? (Assuming you have time now :x)

@omni Freenode. And I've got plenty of time, will be seeing a movie later tonight but I've got hours of nothing to do and no one to talk to right now. Was talking to @woona earlier but he randomly vanished an hour ago and never returned.

@omni Here's what my configuration looks like https://github.com/Toksyuryel/rc/blob/master/.Xresources
Sunday, 27-May-12 13:59:20 UTC from web -
@omni And my compile-time options look like this (note, these are Gentoo USE flags so I don't know how well they translate to Arch): Installed versions: 9.15{tbz2}(01:54:01 AM 05/10/2012)(256-color fading-colors focused-urgency font-styles iso14755 mousewheel perl pixbuf secondary-wheel wcwidth xft -afterimage -alt-font-width -blink -buffer-on-clear -startup-notification -unicode3 -vanilla)
