@n1ghtsword Brilliant and innovative, this guy did wonders for the world of music production.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:23:04 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal He certainly did.

@n1ghtsword I want a nice MOOG soooo bad ;~;
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:25:32 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal Analog or digital?
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:26:40 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword I would go giddy for either but currently probably a digital for my personal music production

@nethernarwhal Why not get into building an actual modular synth? if you have technical experience you can buy DIY modules and assemble them yourself.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:30:47 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword I'm not sure I have the experience to build one of those
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:33:24 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal Its not incredibly hard. if you like i could link you to some videos on a simple eurorack concept
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:34:44 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword Sure, or maybe I might do some research myself and invest into it when I actually have the money.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:43:10 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal It can get expensive but starting with some sequencer (midi or anolog+quantizer) 1 oscillator and 1 filter in that order you can make some neat basic sound.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:45:10 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword Yeah, I'm running on pretty bare necessities to make my music right now, though to be fair it means I've improving myself as a musician more since I'm not relying on expensive tech while I'm still learning.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:48:10 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal This is very true.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:48:49 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword Even my drum kit is pretty basic stuff I either bought for cheap or from a friend, the exception being my DW 3000 double kicks which I bought brand spanking new and are just fabulous.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 02:50:19 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal You can make anything with modular, even kicks :D
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 03:49:41 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword Yeah, I've also been experimenting in sampling some of my live instrumentation as well
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 03:59:16 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal im still working on the diversity in harmonics and exactly how they effect sound. im trying to better manipulate wave lengths for better sound design in general.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 04:05:48 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword Yeah, I think noise and dynamics have a very broad influence on my sound as artist.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 04:10:12 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal Tbh i dont work on it enough...
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 04:10:41 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword I have a lot of unfinished projects which I know is bad but really I'm in a learning stage right now anyway
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 04:11:31 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal I wont say thats bad, your absolutely right in stating your learning. so am i
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 04:13:10 UTC from web-
@n1ghtsword Yeah, at this point a lot of songs are really more of just me experimenting with sounds, ideas, rhythms, chord progressions, waves, etc.
Saturday, 18-Oct-14 04:14:04 UTC from web-
@nethernarwhal i should show you my robot fart selection.

@nethernarwhal Then you can get into mixers, more osc envelopes etc

@nethernarwhal Thats whats cool about modular. it adds up but its not all at once. you can have an expensive synth you routed yourself in a years span
