@nerthos I wear them nearly every day but yes, especially on social occasions.

@hawloween I never wear rings when I expect to do something because I just know I'll ruin them. I like doing stuff like climbing and vaulting over things and rings inevitably get damaged that way.

@nerthos Oh yeah I get that; if I go even for a run I won't wear them, or indeed anything that'd work up a sweat. The patina they have right now is good enough.

@hawloween I have a silver one and a gold plated one. Also a chrome finish one with an acrylic lens-like blue thing on top that due to a manufacturing defect is able to spin. Love that one. I wore it to RPG nights with friends and once the finish started coming off I named it "ring of +1 heavy metal poisoning"

@nerthos ha, nice. Both of these are sterling silver. I got somewhat close to buying a supposed old Roman pure silver one, depicting a pine tree... but $200 was too much.

@hawloween I'm not a fan of precious metals for rings. I'd like a good steel or a palladium alloy, something very resistant.

@nerthos Not to mention it was like a size 6 which couldn't fit the fingers of most men today... it would have been like a collector's thing though.
