    I can't seem to find very active groups. Is there a way to sort by popularity or does anyone have suggestions?

          @theanneh Hmm. Aside from the short list of active groups on the right side of this page, and the Promoted notices to the right of the homepage, I'm not really sure what to suggest. Posting to a group you've joined will notify other members which may help boost activity a tiny bit, but other than that I don't know how you can search for active groups.

      @theanneh We've never organized ourselves by groups too much here, with the exception of meetup groups. Groups are mostly used to send posts to specific people rather than activity hubs. Most activity in the site is centered around the public timeline. Still, I'd say check for keywords related to your interests if you want to find groups. Even if they're inactive, posting to them usually brings attention to the topic of the group and someone might reply.

          @theanneh All things considered your best bet is to talk about what you like in the main timeline, you can usually find someone with common interests.

              @theanneh I've been on this site for a little under 2 years now and confirm the regulars are all friendly people just looking to have a nice chat. Topics can vary too, we're a pony site by name but have covered a lot of bases in terms of conversation.

                @nethernarwhal That's good to know. I'm glad this seems like a really chill community. Dropped out of everything MLP related because there was drama on a lot of sites or people generally didn't talk to each other. :C

                        @nethernarwhal I can understand that. I also don't think the new season was too great compared to the previous ones. A lot of my friends stopped watching because of it.
