Well my phone's called Serenity, so that's a start.

@techdisk Heh, my phones had ludicrous names over the years. First off, why is yours called Serenity ? The ones I remember were "Egg" cus it looked like one. "Crimson Vertigo" since it was a flip phone that almost launched. "Canadian Android" was my first nice android phone. And my current one is called "Bumblebear" since it can fly and tear mangoes apart when I make it fly, and it will not die ( protective Otterbox waterproof case )

@critialcloudkicker I named mine after Serenity, the Firefly class ship. http://pny.lv/5ybt

@techdisk That's the same thing I named my ship in Guns of Icarus and FTL

@fyf It is a pretty great name.

@techdisk Firefly never made it to TV down here ( well, maybe butchered and dubbed and stuff ) as such, never got into it, and it is still on my list of things to check out. I actually was thinking about Yoey Wheeler's sister when you said Serenity ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HM9tyNkUAg for "bonus" since I talk about Yoey Wheeler )

@critialcloudkicker If I actually get the phone i'm after right now (the HTC One M8), I'm naming it Aussie. Because HTC One, Mate.

@techdisk I will probably want to pick up a HTC One M9 or HTC One M10 after my contract with Bumblebear is up. Depending on a few critical junctures, mainly whether the HTC One M9/10 will be waterproof, and whether Bumblebear is still alive around the time it/they come out.

@critialcloudkicker I'll probably end up doing the same, considering I still have a little less than a year with Serenity unless i can finagle an early upgrade that isn't too pricy.
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:25:00 UTC from web-
@techdisk How do you "cheaply upgrade" from an HTC One M8 ? Is Huawei really throwing out such powerfull Ascend phones ?
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:29:21 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Hm? I'm not upgrading from the M8, My current phone is a Galaxy Nexus.
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:30:06 UTC from web -
@critialcloudkicker I got the Nexus subsidized, and haven't paid it off completely.
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:30:55 UTC from web-
@techdisk How can you subsidize phones ? Is it like leasing it ?
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:32:50 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker It's when you can get a phone for less money from a carrier than if you bought it outright with no contract.
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:33:53 UTC from web-
@techdisk You then pay off the difference in your contract over time.
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:34:23 UTC from web -
@techdisk can confirm, spent $400+ for my Galaxy S4 off contract and it was painful
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:34:43 UTC from web -
@techdisk So you can use it untill you worked off your contract, and once you do it is yours. Correct ?
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:35:07 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker More or less, yep. I get to keep the phone.
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:36:11 UTC from web-
@techdisk I suddenly wonder howmany Bronies have called their phone "Phonies" or "P(h)onies" or... you get the joke probably like 10% of the insane ones, and 20% of the hipster-brony ones
Sunday, 02-Nov-14 01:37:38 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Heh.
