        @northernnarwhal Toying around with the idea of family crests. That was supposed to be one for a Maycan family turned Christian, that ends up siding with Muscovy to invade the east and take it over.

            @northernnarwhal That's exactly what it is. The family's flag is a tricolour of red, blue and black from top to bottom, and that stark red is representative in many Maycan symbols, not to mention the Independent State's tricolour of red, gold and black from top to bottom. In these cases, red is for blood of family and/or of ethnicity, which to them comes first.

                @northernnarwhal In the case of the family tricolour (tzapzevning uchchicegi), blue represents the sky, also the old God according to the Maycan's pagan faith, and black represents the Devil. The Maycan tricolour yellow represents the richness of the earth, of grain, of splendour, and black represents the darkness of their people's past. Mostly plagued by inner strife in their realms and cultural hardships that many subjugated by Russia faced
